Kato's 4-Way Stretch selvedge fabric is weaved using vintage shuttle looms. Rolls of denim fabric are then brought into their workshop in Los Angeles where each pair goes through a 60 to 90 day process of cut, sew, washing and testing.
Crafted in one of the oldest denim mills in Japan, the "Hammer Straight" selvedge denim is blended with a 4-way stretch and weaved using vintage shuttle looms. The fabric is then brought to the Hiroshi Kato workshop in LA where it goes through a rigorous 60 to 90 day process of cutting, sewing, washing, and testing. The end result is a supremely stretchy, comfortable straight fit that wears impossibly well.
